Ling Ling's founders, Clarence Mou and family, migrated from their native Taipei, Taiwan, to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue the American Dream along with their passion for food. In the early 1980s, they opened their first family-owned restaurant, Countrywood Dim Sum. They crafted a menu using generations-old recipes – including their signature potstickers – and prepared each one from scratch straight from their own kitchen.
